The Conception of "Democracy" in Chinese Online Discussion

This study attempts to use computational text analysis and network analysis techniques to find the meaning and political implications of the word "democracy" in Chinese online political discussion. Another related study (in collaboration with Ya-Wen Lei from the Sociology Dept) is to research the meaning and importance of "law" in Chinese online deliberation.
